inkAID Sample Set
The inkAID Sample Set contains 4 ounces (125ml) each of White Matte, Clear Semi-Gloss, Clear Gloss, Clear Gloss Type II, Adhesive Primer, and Iridescent Gold. It provides the opportunity to become familiar with the products and to choose the particular coating or coatings required for the specific application or project. Each 4 ounce bottle provides enough coating to prepare two or three, 8.5" x 11", sheets.
inkAID White Matte Precoat
White matte precoat provides a bright white, matte surface. It appears translucent upon application and dries white. One coat is usually enough on most surfaces like plastic, metal, gesso, and glass. A second coat may be needed on porous surfaces like paper and textiles. White matte is a very water resistant coating which can be overcoated with other water based coatings and varnishes.
inkAID Clear Semi-Gloss Precoat
Clear Semi-Gloss Precoat can be applied to any surface or substrate that can be fed safely through your printer. inkAID Clear Semi-Gloss provides a slightly translucent, satin finish which allows the underlying colors or image on the substrate to appear through the coating. One coat provides sufficient coverage and most surfaces. More porous substrates such as paper or textiles more need an additional coat. Printers having tracking or guiding wheels can leave marks on non-porous substrates such as plastic, metal, or glass to which inkAID Clear Semi-Gloss has been applied. In such cases a build up of coating could occur on these tracking wheels. Porous substrates such as paper with inkAID Clear Semi-Gloss coating are not of concern
inkAID Clear Gloss Precoat
Clear Gloss Precoat can be applied to any surface or substrate that can be fed safely through your printer. It is especially useful where you want to preserve the color, pattern, or image on the surface of the substrate.
inkAID Clear Gloss Precoat Type II
Clear Gloss Precoat Type II combines several materials to provide a coating with enhanced adhesion to most smooth, non-porous surfaces without the need to prime the surface with the Adhesive Primer. It was developed to provide a "one-step" ink jet receptive coating option for printing on plastic, metal, plexi-glass, and glass among many other materials. It can also be applied to any porous surface such as paper, canvas, or textiles.
inkAID Iridescents
Iridescent Precoats are available in Gold, Silver, Pearl, Red, Blue, and Bronze. Containing true iridescent pigments, these coatings contain an adhesive additive which provides enhanced adhesion to smooth, non-porous surfaces like metal, glass, and plastics. These coatings can also be used on any substrate such as paper, wood, textile, and canvas. inkAID Iridescents provide a beautiful background to print onto. |
